The Wanting is the simplest and less demanding of all the tongue kisses in the category of Sexual kisses. The vampires associate wanting not with trivial wishes but exclusively with sexual need. The Wanting is then a kiss expressing and defining the kisser’s need of sexual attention. When offered to your partner, the vampire interpretation of the kiss is that of a sensual reward with the temptation there is more to come.

As with all vampire kisses, particularly the Sexual kisses, the Wanting has a defined use and meaning. The vampires use their kisses in a silent language of love to demonstrate their feelings and they have no doubt about those feelings. Vampires say what they mean, and mean what they say, and the Wanting is the perfect kissing technique to convey the message.

The Wanting is a Sexual kiss because of its use by vampires to set the mood for lovemaking. But it is exceptional among the Sexual kisses by not requiring the kissers to be naked in bed. Because it can be used as a preparation kiss without over-sensitizing or evoking very strong emotions, the Wanting has the advantage of being used in a great number of situations where an intimate kiss is called for.

How to give a Wanting kiss

  • Choose the place. The Wanting is a Sexual kiss, and involves tongue work, so it’s a kiss you share with someone you know but because it is subtle in the way you use the tongue, you can use this kiss anywhere you feel comfortable with a regular tongue kiss.
  • Relax. The Wanting requires relaxed not tensed lips so it makes sense to not be tense in your mind either. This is a very easy kiss to start and it has no defined conclusion so don’t worry about what comes after the Wanting, just let your lips be the guide.
  • Prepare your partner. Wanting kisses don’t really require an introduction technique because they are sensitive towards the one kissed, but they do have an initial step to get your partner’s lips in the right mood to kiss with you.
  1. Make eye contact. It is important not to catch your partner unawares.
  2. Smile because this separates your lips ready for contact.
  3. Press your lips to theirs. Your lips are slightly separate so now clasp one of their lips between yours. It doesn’t matter which one but the structure of the lips makes the top lip an easy target.
  4. The Wanting is a wet kiss so its okay to approach with moistened lips. Make the first approach short. The initial contact usually relaxes your partners lips so they separate, now kiss the bottom lip in the same manner.
  5. Repeat the kiss cycle by using your lips to embrace one of theirs.
  • Use your tongue. The Wanting must have the tongue used in a very special way. Deviation from the “rules” is not wrong but means you’ve left the Wanting and engaged in the Hungry kiss.
  1. With each movement to enfold your lips over your partner’s, use the tip of the tongue to run the length of the kissed lip. Work in either direction, it doesn’t matter.
  2. Caress the corners of the mouth with the tongue but only to the lip margin. Start at the edges and give the whole lips a gentle lick. Give attention to the whole lip surface.
  3. Between using the lips to kiss, use the tip of the tongue to separate the lips of your partner. It doesn’t matter they have their mouth open and waiting, use your tongue to lift their lips upward, but do this gently and do not extend beyond the lips.  Don’t lick your partner’s face clean.
  4. When lifting the lip, especially the top lip, with your tongue, its acceptable here to use your teeth to gently tug on the lips, and assist your lips in the way they titillate.
  5. Extend your tongue to the teeth inside the mouth. This is the limit of the tongue work in the Wanting. You can caress anywhere inside the lips, and if kissing a vampire don’t forget the most important oral erogenous zones, and excite their fangs with a tongue massage. The Wanting is just that—wanting more but not giving just yet so treat the temptation as the guide to staying within the bounds of the kiss.
  • Let your partner reciprocate. Lead the kiss and let them follow. If you set the limits of the tongue then they generally comply to the unspoken rule.
  • Keep on kissing. If the kiss entices then there is no reason to stop but if it excites then the Wanting is a convenient kiss to evolve into other forms of the tongue kiss.

We recognize the Wanting as a mild form of the tongue kiss, and vampires would agree with this assessment, but they also know the Wanting is a  true kiss between lovers. It is distinct from the real tongue kiss for a reason, to separate the Wanting from the Hungry kiss, which is up next.
