By Suzanne Carré
The sexual techniques discussed in the novel are characteristically vampire, extracted from their love manuals and expressive of their intrinsic dissimilarities they have when compared to us. My vampires are intelligent hedonists and the interactions they have with my main character details the richness and diversity of their sexual appetites. For my vampires all experiences, no matter how simple, they strive to gain the maximum pleasure from.
The vampire style reflects their attitudes to all aspects of love and sex. Vampires make the distinction between love and sex, without confusing the two terms, so their approach aims to achieve the best of their bodies, especially satisfying their unending lust. Their love books are extensive volumes covering every aspect of the relationship, from the first meeting, the various methods of excitation, the practice of romance, techniques in bed, and achieving an eternity of what the vampires call “serious sex.”
While the novel is not meant to be a how-to-do-it guidebook, the narrative reveals knowledge of the vampire techniques to allow the reader to experience the vampire pleasures through my main character. We are naturally curious about how others perform sexually and it is the likeness of vampires to ourselves that makes their sex so much more appealing. During the education of a human female, the reader learns the various techniques practiced for centuries and recorded faithfully by the vampires. In this way you can learn about being vampire in a more personal way and get to know my vampires very, very—very well.
