Vampire love is pure emotion and to make the point, I’ll say it another way—unconditional love is not physical. This means it is completely separate to, and not relying on, the physical aspects of our bodies in any way. You don’t need a perfect body to find love and that ideal in the physical will not make other people love you. It gives a measure of what is “sexy” but physique and sex are not concerned with love. In our modern world we are obsessed with body image but it only adds to the confusion over the question—what is love?

Love is not physical

To vampires love is very important, essential if you’re a male vampire, and the source of incalculable power if you’re a wife. It is then necessary for the vampires to define love absolutely because it matters so much in their supernatural existence. So if love depends on sex (male or female), and it depends on the physical state of the vampire (wife or not married), then why do vampires insist their idea of pure love is not physical?

Male and female

Male vampires need love for their minds. According to many sources in the vampire manuals of love, the emotional aspect of pure love alters the minds of males and improves their intellect. The bonus for the female vampires is connected with sex because a male vampire who harnesses the emotion of love is better at being male in all his masculine roles. Vampires consider males without love to be pathetic creatures worthy only of contempt. Because the love of the male entails control of his mind then it is not  physical according to the vampires.

Vampire marriage

As for wives, they were once human and endowed with the human capacity for love. It matters little to the vampires if the woman doesn’t understand love before her conversion. Once married vampire style, and entitled with the wife status, she learns love in the vampire sense, to develop her supernatural powers, and rules over all the other vampires, including her husband. She learns of the wonders of love from her husband and the vampire writings of love. His attraction to her came from his emotions and the texts reveal only the feelings associated with love. Even for the wife, a human married forever to a vampire, love is not physical.

Love makes beautiful the body

Now you accept vampire love is pure emotion, it is necessary then to separate it from pure physical sex. Having a body to attract another is part of the sex appeal. It’s important then to have self-love, and accept your body for what it is. This is partly the power of love because this love of your body, by accepting it, translates into what makes the “it” factor of our sex appeal. When loving your body, vampires deal only with the emotional aspects not its physical. The key is don’t dwell on any imperfections and punish the mind. Love cannot work unless you love every part of yourself.

Vampires suffer a curse for their immortality. They cannot see the physical body only the emotions. Due to the absence of the physical, vampires don’t fall in love with physical beauty. Only the love inside counts in their relationships. Only pure emotional love has real power to the supernatural. So don’t’ look in the mirror and wonder what love you can find there. Remember vampires do not gaze into mirrors and ask “who is the fairest of them all,” not when vampires don’t even have a reflection!

Vampire Sexual Secrets

In my novel, Marie is obsessed with her body, when it’s not perfect, and feels inferior because the female vampires have gorgeous figures and flaunt their physical beauty. Of course this is only her interpretation but she remains jealous of the females and sees their looks as challenging her love with Vincent. Because he can’t see the females, especially their bodies, he finds the human focus to body beauty totally confusing. His solution is to have Marie think vampire and separate her emotions from her physical view of love.

Vampire love starts in the heart, directs the mind and demands separation from the physical aspects of the body. Next is the non-sexual side of perfect eternal love.
