Vampire sexuality is complex mainly because vampires bend the rules for every aspect of sex—choice of partner, how they achieve pleasure sensations, and also they go beyond the pairing in sex. In their manuals of love, vampires discuss the necessity of many involved in sexual ecstasy. Threesomes are important in their sexual interactions, but group sex with four or more have their place too.

Group sex is for us humans a wild adventure. More than two in bed is part of the spicy sex that only the libertines indulge. Essentially this is true because we want sex, whereas vampires need sex, even sex within a group.

Vampires two by two

This is one of the complications of vampire marriage. If a married male vampire bites a man, then there are three. But now the convert marries and with his wife there are four. The marital bonds linking all four are strengthened in sex together. Importantly, the supernatural power of each wife increases if they are together with their husbands. Where physical orientations don’t suffice to link all four, then psychic sex adequately makes up for any deficiency.

If the wives recline on their sides, back to back and become one in their minds (and emotionally in their bodies), both their husbands will “feel” as if they are making love to the two females simultaneously. Now if the males embrace the girls, and preferably linking hands, the effect is a sharing of all four bodies and all possible sensations.

Many couples make sex work

Yet another complication of vampire marriage. Vampires marry for sex, and due to sexual equality, males and females marry within the married pair. To have an affair, you simply ask so you’re not cheating. To gain another partner, you ask to marry another human (male or female, it really doesn’t matter). If your spouse agrees, then you can marry many times over. Some “married couples” of the preternatural domain can reach dozens of individuals. And they all want to share lovemaking together, and all at the same time.

A bunch of girls and one guy

In a collective, the harem male wants to treat all his females equally in fun sex. (Of course he does, because he’s really nice—I mean nice in the vampire sense of the word.) The proper sex he has to do is a one-to-one arrangement but in fun sex vampires aren’t interested in “right” just as long as it feels real good. To heighten the sexual experience, he chooses a favorite, because he can emotionally connect with her and amplify the sexual pleasure with his feelings. The other girls wait for the couple to excite sufficiently that they now link for the psychic thrill.

The couple now are caught in a psychic sex frenzy. They are frozen in time and space, much like suspended animation, while the male now emotionally fragments to “physically” satisfy his concubines. The sexual activity continues until the favorite can not longer contain her male’s pleasure. The number of females he shares with dictates the level of sensation, so ten concubines makes his sexual climax ten times greater than it normally would be. Every female in this orgy will receive the same intensity from him—and if they want more, they send the sex back and double the feelings.

Purify the bedsheets

This is a technique for making a bed suitable for fun sex. Vampires are fussy when it comes to where they are going to couple just for fun because the bed is a very important piece of sexual equipment. The bedsheets might work for sleeping, drinking blood, or even required sex, but not for pleasure. To make the whole bed a perfect place for mind-blowing sex, the vampires purify the bedsheets with sex.

The ritual begins with either the male and his wife, or if he’s unmarried, his favorite. The prime couple initiate the process and this is strictly a private affair. The pair must cover the entire bed surface while they excite. How they do this is up to the vampires—they can wiggle, crawl, or roll together—but they must not separate (or they have to start again). This is the limit of monogamy, but within a collective the male then calls for his concubines. He then must use all of them together in a psychic pleasuring, until he has coupled with each, over every part of the bed.

The Many Wives of Love

In a marriage arrangement, the male vampire can be the only one to marry, and only women, so he ends up with several wives. His concern is the damn vampire rule where the wife receives the first sex of the day. This works well if there is only one wife, or using a MET he can accommodate two, but more—what is a bad boy to do?

It’s easy if he thinks it to them. First thing is getting all his wives physically connected, and holding hands will do. He then chooses one, usually the first wife, but in these arrangements they can take turns. After coupling, he must bite, not to feed but for adding to the sexual pleasure he has to share. The other wives then wrap their bodies around the pair and the psychic sex begins. To the male, he is with each girl, separately but simultaneously, and respectively the wives respond to his excitation.

Justified Sex

In a collective, the married male can have a wife who rules with an attitude problem. She knows the sexual rights of the concubines, but she refuses to give them sexual access to her husband. I deal with this topic in my novel, where Marie is mortal and thinks human—no competition—no matter what. Her restrictions generate levels of sexual tension she can’t even imagine exist.

The females deal with this by mentally exciting her vampire male to incredible psychic levels and leaving him physically incapacitated. When Vincent begs Marie for an embrace, anything to reduce the maddening sensations, the females have the couple the way they want them. The females then feed off the psychic sex Vincent tires to expel. The effect is similar to the many wife problem (see above) mixed with the fun sex solution (see a bunch of girls and one guy), only in this case, Vincent has 40 concubines!

Swapping heaven

This rarely happens in vampire marriages between unrelated vampires. The exchange of concubines and their bed-attending males is seen as a way to combine harems. In my novel I mention the combining of harems to form expansive collectives. The sexual providers are usually men married once vampire style so they don’t yet have two wives. These bed-attending males are free to indulge with any other vampire. The swapping of their vampire wives not only gives them sexual access to another male’s concubines but makes the combined collective more stable.

Vampires have group sex motivated by need before want. The fact of their affinity to each other makes for an environment suitable for regular group sex. Group sex might add spice to the already exuberant pallet of the vampire sexual menu but it does so to enhance the bonds that form their complex relationships.

Right throughout this topic I’ve had to mention the most important vampire relationship—marriage. Group sex almost always happens after the wedding night. So why? And I’ll also answer the question—why is getting married vampire style so important if you’re supernatural?
