By Suzanne Carré
My vampire love, I need to reconcile,
With all the promises you have dared to break,
Yet your control erases thy sins, the while
Admiring you with every breath I take.
Not too long now, I shall acquire thy ways;
Thy power through my body will then flood,
With one unholy bite, I gain the craze,
To hunt: sustain a constant thirst for blood.
Prepare to now exchange my blood for yours,
But we then kiss, I taste betrayal dear,
Of others blood on lips thine is the cause,
I mean nothing to you, ’tis truly clear.
The price of immortality I trust,
Be weighed against my heart, in love, not lust.
