My vampire lover, come, my Lord of night,
And bite me, pierce my throat, thy fangs revealed,
The single gift of your immortal right,
I crave thy kiss; eternal life concealed.
Have you the strength to take away my life?
To fight love, a force beyond constraint,
I want the transformation to thy wife,
I surrender my soul, without complaint.
Against my body you then press, embraced,
To have me over your silk altar: wed,
Abiding, our love is not abased,
We shall remain together while I’m bled.

Prepare my love, to puncture deep my vein,
My blood; thou art so eager to obtain.
